Description : Tall herbs, to 120 cm high; stems quadrangular, not or narrowly winged. Leaves to 7 x 1.5 cm, elliptic, narrowed to a broad petiole, acute at apex, 3-ribbed. Cymes terminal, corymbose; bracts 7 mm long, linear. Flowers many; calyx 9 mm long, wings 2 mm broad, lobes acuminate; corolla blue, tube short, lobes 20 x 8 mm, elliptic, acute; anthers 8 mm long, eglandular, filaments broaden at base.
