Description | : | Small trees or shrubs. Leaves 3 - 16.5 x 1 - 5.5 cm, ovate-oblong or ovate-lanceolate, obtuse or subacute at base, acute or acuminate at apex, serrulate, densely tomentose beneath, 3 - 4-nerved; petioles ca 5 mm long. Flowers in axillary, clustered cymes; peduncles 1.5 - 3.5 cm long; buds 35 - 5 mm across, subglobose, tomentose; pedicels 8 - 10 mm long. Sepals ca 6 mm long, elliptic-oblong or elliptic-lanceolate, tomentose. Petals ca 3 mm long, ovate-lanceolate; glands ca 1 mm long, elliptic. Stamens many; filaments 3 - 4 mm long, glabrous. Ovary ca 1.5 mm across, globose, tomentose; stigma 4-lobed. Drupes ca 5 mm across, globose, tomentose, edible. Fl. April- Oct.; Fr. June - Dec. |
