Description : A tall glabrous tree. Leaves: paripinnate, leaflets 6-12 elliptic or oblong, obtuse, base oblique; Flowers: greenish-white, borne in axillary and terminal panicles, appears in April-May; Fruits: smooth, black when ripe, septifragally 5-valved, woody, valves consisting of two plates, separating from the 5-winged axis, May-July; Seeds: numerous, winged at both ends.
