Description | : | A diffuse annual from 15-45 cm tall, subglabrous to pubescent. Leaves 3-8 5(-11) x 1.5-4 (-7) cm, ovate. sinuate, repand or sinuate-dentate to subentire, acute or acuminate, base cordate to oblique. Petiole up to 40 mm long, slender. Flowers solitary axillary. Pedicel less than 10 mm long, somewhat elongating in fruit. Calyx c. 2.5 mm long, campanulate. inflated, globular-avoid, membranous and up to 25 mm in fruit, pubescent. Corolla 5 mm long, shortly tubular, yellow; lobes acute, pubescent. Stamens subincluded. Anthers c. 1 mm long; filaments ± 2 mm long. Ovary 1.1 mm long. ovoid. Style linear, stigma subcapitate. Berry globose, 10 mm broad, orange. Seeds c. 2 mm long, subreniform, compressed; minutely reticulate-undulate. brownish-yellow.
